Tom Brady, a renowned NFL quarterback, dedicated 20 years to the New England Patriots before transitioning to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020. Selected as the 199th draft pick, Brady has achieved an unprecedented seven Super Bowl victories.

Born on August 3, 1977, in San Mateo, California, Brady is the son of Galynn and Tom Brady Sr. He attended Junipero Serra High School, excelling in both baseball and football. Brady’s athletic talents led to his selection by the Montreal Expos in the 1995 MLB draft. However, he chose to attend the University of Michigan to pursue football.

At Michigan, Brady played during his junior year, later becoming a sixth-round draft pick by the New England Patriots in 2000. Initially, Brady was the fourth quarterback on the team’s depth chart. By 2001, he rose to be the second string behind Drew Bledsoe. In September 2001, during a game against the New York Jets, Bledsoe’s injury allowed Brady to step in. From that point, Brady became the Patriots’ starting quarterback.

In 2002, Brady led the Patriots to a Super Bowl victory against the St. Louis Rams. They secured additional Super Bowl wins in 2004 against the Carolina Panthers. Brady’s career includes seven Super Bowl wins, surpassing any other NFL player. Besides the 2004 and 2005 wins, he achieved victories in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021 with Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady faced a four-game suspension in 2015 after allegations of ball deflation during the AFC Championship game against the Colts. Despite various discussions, the suspension was upheld, causing Brady to miss four games in the 2016 season.

In March 2020, Brady’s move from the Patriots to the Buccaneers surprised many. His first year with Tampa Bay culminated in a Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs.
