4 hours ago 0

Former First Lady Michelle Obama faced criticism from conservative circles following an appearance on ABC’s ‘Good Morning America.’ During a joint interview with former President Barack Obama, the former First Lady described her next life chapter with a single word: ‘Me.’

In the interview at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, co-anchor Robin Roberts asked the couple to encapsulate their future plans. Barack Obama replied with ‘Fun,’ while Michelle Obama opted for ‘Me.’

Roberts responded positively, describing the former First Lady’s answer as a ‘mic drop’ moment. Barack Obama joked about Roberts seeming to favor his wife’s response more.

That’s what you call drop the mic, Roberts said.

The segment drew responses from conservatives online, accusing Michelle Obama of self-centeredness. Commentator Danny De Urbina critiqued the remark, associating it with a perceived narcissism in the political elite.

The interview took place at the Obama Presidential Center, a 19.3-acre complex on Chicago’s South Side, with facilities like a museum and public spaces. Barack Obama reflected on their humble beginnings and contributions to America.

The Obama Foundation announced the center’s grand opening set for June 18, with public access starting June 19 and events extending to June 21.
