Renowned filmmaker Nancy Meyers is set to make a much-anticipated return with a new movie, confirmed to hit theaters on Christmas Day in 2027. Warner Bros. Pictures will be distributing this film, marking Meyers’ latest venture in both writing and directing, alongside producing duties.
Although the title and detailed plot of the movie are currently being kept secret, the production team is already generating excitement. Ilona Herzberg is on board as a producer, while executive production will be managed by Diana Pokorny.

A cast full of stars is in the final stages of negotiation, featuring well-known names such as Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey, and Owen Wilson. The inclusion of Jude Law is especially noteworthy as it reunites him with Meyers, following their successful collaboration on the beloved 2006 romantic comedy “The Holiday.”
On a personal note, Nancy Meyers took to Instagram on Monday to express her excitement about the forthcoming project. “Happy to share my new movie with this fantastic cast is in the works and will be released on Christmas Day 2027! See you at the movies!” she enthusiastically declared in her post.
This new endeavor marks Meyers’ return to directing after a significant gap. Her last directorial project was the comedy “The Intern” starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, which premiered 11 years ago in 2015.
