Preceding the game, pop star Charlie Puth performed the national anthem, adding a patriotic touch to the event. Brandi Carlile received applause for her rendition of “America the Beautiful.” Meanwhile, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day elevated the excitement with a pregame performance.
