Cassie Ventura Testimony and Legal Battles

2 days ago 0

Cassie Ventura, a notable figure in the entertainment industry, left the United States after participating as a key witness in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial last summer. This information comes from documents accessed by Fox News Digital.

The Trial and Lawsuit

Ventura provided critical testimony over four days during Diddy’s trial on charges related to sex crimes. Amid ongoing legal proceedings, she filed a motion seeking to shift venue for a lawsuit involving Clayton Howard, a former male escort. Howard accused Diddy and Cassie, among others, of “sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse” over a decade.

The motion, submitted on May 1, advocated for moving the lawsuit from California to New York. In New York, numerous similar cases against Diddy have been filed. Cassie’s legal argument highlighted the relevance of New York as a better jurisdiction, noting, “Plaintiff is a resident of New Jersey and can easily travel to New York City. Ms. Ventura does not reside in the United States, but it is more convenient for her to travel to New York than California.”

Details of the Testimony

Cassie revealed in court she received a $20 million settlement from a previous case against Diddy. This lawsuit concluded quickly after being filed in November 2023. She argued New York offered a more practical location for legal proceedings due to the presence of relevant witnesses and related cases already pending there.

In another legal declaration, Cassie clarified her citizenship, stating, “I am a citizen of the United States,” but added, “I do not intent to move back to the United States.” She emphasized the need to relocate the case to New York for its greater convenience for her participation.

Personal Life and Allegations

Ventura, the “Me & U” singer, gave birth to her third child with husband Alex Fine in May 2025, shortly after her testimony against Diddy. She married Fine, who was once Diddy’s personal trainer, in 2019. They have two daughters, Frankie and Sunny.

Cassie’s testimony included serious allegations against Diddy, citing instances of rape and physical abuse. She shared incidences where she was coerced into “freak offs”—situations where she was forced to have sex with a male escort while Diddy watched. Due to these traumatic experiences, she sought therapy in early 2023.

Legal and Case Outcomes

In addition to the previous judgment, Cassie disclosed her expectation of receiving a $10 million settlement from the InterContinental Hotel. This claim relates to a 2016 incident of assault involving Diddy at the hotel premises.

The trial against Diddy, beginning on May 12, concluded on July 2. Although acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking, he was nonetheless convicted for facilitating prostitution. Diddy received a sentence of over four years, detained at FCI Fort Dix, with release expected in February 2028.
