The White House responded to Ariana Grande’s comments regarding the use of her song in a social media video. The video depicted arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson stated, “We’ll say this one last time: what’s actually barbaric, inhumane, and heinous are the criminal illegal aliens who have injured and murdered innocent American citizens.”
Ariana Grande, 32, voiced her disapproval after her song “Bye” was used in a TikTok video by the White House. In the video’s comments section, she wrote, “please do not ever use my music in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense. f– ice.”
The video caption claimed, “Bye-bye. President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history.” Reports indicate that by Thursday, the sound had been removed from the video.
In September, Grande posted on Instagram about the impact of immigration policies. She stated, “immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed.” Furthermore, she participated in the Women’s March shortly after President Trump took office in 2017, and opposed his transgender bathroom policy on social media.
Ariana Grande also shared a protest sign last year. It read, “Could someone explain which crimes get you deported and which ones get you elected President? It’s so confusing.” She referenced Trump’s conviction on 34 felonies related to falsifying business records in the Stormy Daniels “hush money” case.
Grande has previously supported Kamala Harris for president and performed at the White House for former President Barack Obama in 2014. Fox News Digital has contacted representatives for Grande for further comment.
