Reagan National Airport will stop flights on July 4 for much of the day due to Independence Day celebrations marking the country’s 250th anniversary. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) revealed that no departures are scheduled after 12 p.m. on this day.
Additionally, flights will also not take place for some hours in the early afternoon of July 3, as noted by the MWAA. This pause is meant to facilitate aerial displays and fireworks.
Authorities have also suggested that travelers check schedules around other 250th-anniversary events happening this summer to ensure smooth travel plans.
