The search for Elena Katherine Moore, a fitness trainer who vanished after leaving Planet Fitness in Lexington, South Carolina, continues into Wednesday. Moore, age 39, was last seen late on June 11. Her husband, Brannon Slice, alerted authorities the next day, reporting her missing.
Inspector Missy Silcox of the Lexington Police Department stated that as of early Wednesday, Moore had not been found, and there was no evidence suggesting foul play. Brannon Slice is not considered a suspect at this time and is cooperating fully with law enforcement. Private investigator Harry Dukes, from Dukes Investigations & Consulting, confirmed to Newsweek that Slice is assisting the investigation.
Police released photos showing Moore walking through a Publix parking lot post her visit to Planet Fitness at 560 Whiteford Way. She appeared to be heading towards Old Cherokee Road, dressed in an olive-green hoodie and black athletic pants. Another image from a doorbell camera a week before her disappearance was also publicized.
Elena Moore, employed at Wolf’s Fitness Center in Lexington, is actively being sought by authorities who have utilized drones in their search efforts. The fitness center has assured cooperation, providing all available information to aid the police investigation.
Lauren Beasley, a friend of Moore, revealed their last conversation was about a month ago. Beasley mentioned Moore had recently married but didn’t disclose any personal issues concerning her relationship or work. Notably, Moore has ceased her regular social media activities, which Beasley considers unusual. “She is very active on social media, so her going radio silent for the last month is out of character,” Beasley shared with Fox News Digital.
A $1,500 reward has been announced by Dukes Investigations & Consulting for tips leading to Moore’s whereabouts. The organization urged residents to review their security footage for potential sightings of Moore. “Mrs. Elena Katherine Moore has now been missing for six days,” officials noted in a Facebook post.
Despite the newly released photos, Harry Dukes explained that the images fail to provide a complete account of Moore’s actions before her disappearance. “We just don’t know the circumstances. Is she still walking around?” Dukes commented to NewsNation. As a fitness enthusiast, Moore walking around is not considered unusual. Dukes noted her husband is deeply troubled by her absence.
