President Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran about its nuclear program. He emphasized that Iran must comply with his conditions or face the possibility of renewed conflict. In response, an assertive Iran has dismissed these demands.
In a recent social media post, Trump stressed the urgency, stating that Iran needs to act swiftly “or there won’t be anything left,” adding that “the Clock is Ticking.” However, he did not provide a specific deadline. This pattern of threats has been a recurring theme for the past two months without any concrete action.
The negotiations between the U.S. and Iran have made little progress recently. Trump has consistently threatened to escalate military action against Iran if its leaders do not meet his terms regarding their nuclear program.
Iran has continuously rejected the U.S. demands, particularly concerning uranium enrichment and efforts to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, a vital route for oil and gas transport. The tensions in the strait have significantly impacted global oil markets, causing prices to increase.
On Monday, Iran proposed another counteroffer to the U.S. According to the Iranian foreign ministry, negotiations are ongoing, with Pakistan serving as a mediator between the two nations.
When questioned about Trump’s threats, Esmaeil Baghaei, a spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry, assured reporters, “Don’t worry, we know very well how to respond.” Though he did not provide additional details, Iranian officials have frequently vowed a strong reaction if confronted by the U.S. or Israel.
