The audio of a 911 call involving NASCAR star Kyle Busch has surfaced, released by the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office. Reportedly, Busch was coughing up blood and experiencing shortness of breath at the time of the call.

The unnamed caller described the alarming situation to the dispatcher, noting Busch’s condition as very concerning. The caller mentioned that Busch was conscious but lying on the bathroom floor.

Busch’s Sudden Hospitalization and Death

Kyle Busch, aged 41, passed away on a Thursday following a brief stay in a Charlotte, N.C. hospital. It is reported that he collapsed in a race simulator a day before his hospitalization.

His family, along with NASCAR and Richard Childress Racing, formally announced his passing. NASCAR’s community is mourning the loss of a racer who had an enormous impact on the sport.

A Storied Career in NASCAR

Over more than two decades, Busch carved out a remarkable career. He achieved national series wins, secured championships, and influenced budding drivers through his Truck Series ownership. His formidable personality endeared him to fans, creating a dedicated fanbase known as ‘Rowdy Nation.’

Busch’s accolades include two NASCAR Cup Series championships in 2015 and 2019. Throughout his career, he made 762 starts and amassed 63 Cup Series wins. He holds the all-time record for victories in both the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

A Legacy of Achievements

His last week’s triumph at Dover, where he led 147 laps, marks his latest victory in the Truck Series. After this win, Busch commented on the unpredictable nature of racing, underscoring the unexpectedness of his passing.

The NASCAR community faces its second severe loss within six months, following the death of former driver Greg Biffle in a plane crash.
