Owner of Pro-Trump Themed Home Dies After Attack

2 weeks ago 0

The owner of a well-known pro-America and President Donald Trump-themed home in southern California has passed away following an alleged attack. Kerry Sheron, 69, died after spending several days in critical condition in the hospital, according to police announcements made on Sunday night.

Sheron, a U.S. Army veteran, was the owner of a house in Escondido, California, recognizable for its display of American flags and pro-Trump memorabilia. Over the years, Sheron’s home became a focal point for complaints and vandalism.

The incident took place outside his property. Deputy District Attorney Ross Garcia detailed the alleged attack by 32-year-old Thomas Caleb Butler. The suspect reportedly struck Sheron in the jaw, causing him to fall, and then continued to hit him in the head, as reported by NBC 7. Butler was taken into custody without resistance and faces attempted murder charges. Authorities from the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office are evaluating the case for potential charge adjustments.

The American flags and pro-Trump memorabilia symbolized Sheron’s patriotic sentiments.

Butler, reportedly a Navy veteran with PTSD, was described by an acquaintance as someone who often felt paranoid. The friend claimed that Butler spent time alone, fearing others were after him, despite taking medication.

On Wednesday, at approximately 2:15 p.m., police in Escondido responded to an assault report near the intersection of East Mission Avenue and Buchanan Street. Officers found Sheron with severe injuries. A bystander who intervened in the attack also suffered injuries.

Sheron’s wife, Maria Garcia, shared with The Post that she doubted her husband’s survival. Garcia believed the attack was politically driven, referencing the significant display of flags at their residence.

“He tried to kill my husband,” she told CBS 8. “The hatred—it’s unfathomable. My husband is a veteran. We support America.”

Police are investigating the situation and have taped off the scene at the Escondido home. Butler remains in custody, facing serious legal actions.
