Stephanie Pratt Now Backs Brother Spencer Pratt’s Mayoral Campaign

1 week ago 0

Spencer Pratt has gained unexpected support in his campaign for Los Angeles mayor. His sister, Stephanie Pratt, is now backing him, despite previously criticizing his run as “a vote for stupidity.” Stephanie admitted in an email to Vanity Fair that she initially discouraged voting for him. However, she now praises his dedication to uncovering facts and addressing the issues following the fires.

Earlier this year, Stephanie criticized Spencer’s qualifications in a series of deleted posts on X, acknowledging his work in the Palisades but questioning his suitability for the mayoral role. She accused him of pursuing fame and promoting his memoir rather than focusing on serious governance. Her concerns included the enduring problems in Los Angeles and her desire for effective leadership.

Despite her previous opposition, Stephanie has shifted her stance. She noted the public pressure to support Spencer, expressing concerns about their past. She also suggested that he focus on local issues in the Palisades instead of a broader mayoral run.

Spencer Pratt announced his candidacy shortly after losing his home in the Palisades Fire. Since launching his campaign, he has gained support among anti-establishment voters and risen in the polls. As the primary approaches, he faces competition from current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and City Council member Nithya Raman. Notable supporters of Spencer include figures like Paris Hilton and Dennis Quaid.
