Previously, she had made headlines by defeating Bayley at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where John Cena had chosen her to participate. Her impressive run in NXT has translated into a successful transition to the main WWE roster.

Lynch’s reign as champion concluded after 43 days. She initially won the title at WrestleMania 42, marking her as the first three-time women’s intercontinental champion.
