A decade after a tragic loss, bride Jeni Stepien made her way towards her future with her father’s presence felt in an unimaginable way. Typically, organ transplants remain anonymous, but through the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) in Pittsburgh, Tom could express his gratitude to the Stepsien family through a heartfelt note.

Throughout the years, correspondence between the Stepien family and Tom’s continued. This gratitude grew into a cherished friendship. Tom never forgot to acknowledge special occasions with the family, and in gratitude, Jeni felt her father’s love guiding her life.

As Jeni’s wedding day approached, she penned a letter to Tom, asking if he would walk her down the aisle. Honored, Tom sought his daughter’s approval. With her blessing, he agreed, adding yet another layer to an extraordinary narrative.
