2 weeks ago 0

Chris Jericho recently returned to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in April, ending months of speculation about his contract status. Since his return, Jericho has engaged in a rivalry with The Demand. This rivalry will culminate in a Stadium Stampede Match at the Double or Nothing event. Jericho, along with teammates Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Kenny Omega, Jack Perry, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson, will face off against Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona, Mark Davis, Andrade El Idolo, Clark Connors, and David Finlay.

Jericho remains a prominent figure in professional wrestling, known for his tenure in various wrestling promotions including WWE, World Championship Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), and others. AEW star MVP recently discussed Jericho’s legacy with Fox News Digital, emphasizing his importance in wrestling history. MVP expressed his long-standing admiration for Jericho, particularly noting Jericho’s influence in Japanese wrestling. MVP stated, “I was aware of Chris Jericho before a lot of people were just because of my love for international wrestling.”

Jericho’s wrestling abilities are widely recognized. He is known for his skill in delivering promos and maintaining a strong, injury-free career. Jericho’s reputation was cemented when he became the undisputed champion, defeating top competitors to gain that position. MVP remarked on Jericho’s career achievements, noting his place among the all-time greats of modern wrestling.

The upcoming match at Double or Nothing will add a third Stadium Stampede Match to Jericho’s resume. He participated in the first match of this kind at Double or Nothing in 2020, with teammates Matt Hardy, Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz against Omega, “Hangman” Adam Page, and The Young Bucks. In the second match in 2021, Jericho teamed with Hager, Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz once more against MJF, Wardlow, Shawn Spears, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler. His current Stadium Stampede record stands at 1-1.

The Double or Nothing event will occur at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. The pre-show is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the main card at 8 p.m. ET.
