Death of French Model Scout Linked to Jeffrey Epstein

A French model scout, Daniel Siad, known for arranging meetings between models and Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead in his suburban Paris residence. An autopsy is anticipated to establish the cause of Siad’s death, as reported by the French publication, Le Monde. The discovery was made on Monday night, and Siad was 69 years old at the time of his death.

His attorney believes that if Siad died from a heart attack, it could have resulted from the anxiety he experienced daily due to investigations into his connections with Epstein. Epstein, who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial, was a registered sex offender. According to the Department of Justice investigators, Epstein had paid thousands of dollars to Siad. Siad’s name appears numerous times in the department’s Epstein Library, highlighting his connections in the fashion industry to facilitate Epstein’s influence.

Epstein had associations with several powerful individuals, including former President Bill Clinton, the British royal formerly known as Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump before his presidency. Parisian prosecutors, who have been investigating Siad since February, are expected to continue examining his potential involvement in human trafficking and criminal conspiracy, despite not having had sufficient evidence to arrest him prior to his death.

CNN reports that two women claimed they were victims of Epstein after being referred to him by Siad. Siad maintained that he was unaware of any complaints from those he introduced to Epstein. He stated he believed Epstein was a casting director with connections to Victoria’s Secret, although CNN has found no support for this claim.

In a June interview, Siad expressed his initial trust in Epstein, citing Epstein’s powerful status as a reason. He admitted he knew about Epstein’s 2008 charge for soliciting prostitution but assumed it had been resolved. The two remained acquaintances after Epstein’s release in July 2009. Additionally, a model has accused Siad of raping her in the 1990s, which he has denied.
