Detroit Lions Player Charged in Kidnapping and Robbery Case

Terrion Arnold, a cornerback for the Detroit Lions, has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a kidnapping and robbery case. The Tampa Police Department made the announcement on Wednesday night. The incident allegedly took place in February.

Authorities previously arrested six individuals suspected of engaging in a “targeted armed robbery” on February 4. Arnold surrendered to authorities and was detained at the Orient Road Jail in Hillsborough County on Wednesday night. He faces charges of four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery.

“We are aware of the matter and have been in contact with the club. We have no further comment at this time,” an NFL spokesperson told Fox News Digital. The Lions have not yet responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

Investigators revealed that Arnold rented an Airbnb in Largo, Florida, which he shared with co-defendants Arianna Del Valle, Jasmine Randazzo, Lyndell Hudson II, Christion Williams, Boakai Hilton Jr., and Freddie Hughes. Others also resided at the location.

On February 1, multiple personal items belonging to Arnold and others were reportedly stolen from the Airbnb. Arnold suspected two of the three victims, but Tampa police later determined they were not involved in the theft.

On February 3, Arnold and other co-defendants reported over $250,000 in stolen property to the Largo Police Department.

Investigators claim Arnold, Hilton, Hughes, and another individual conspired with Del Valle and Randazzo to contact one of the victims, luring him to an apartment. When three male victims in their late teens arrived at the apartment on February 4, Williams and Hudson were allegedly concealed in a closet. They reportedly seized the victims, held them at gunpoint, and assaulted them.

Authorities said Del Valle streamed the incident to Arnold, Hilton, and Hughes as they headed to the apartment. Messages in a group chat found by investigators indicated Arnold and Hilton directed Del Valle, Williams, and Hudson during the attack.

Police allege Arnold, Hilton, Hughes, and another person arrived at the apartment at around 1 a.m. They assert Arnold led the team inside, and that Hughes, Hudson, and Williams stole the victims’ belongings amid the assault.

The victims were reportedly forced out of the apartment about 40 minutes later, driven away in their vehicle, and later notified Tampa police, identifying the assailants.

Based on gathered evidence, investigators believe Arnold was the primary orchestrator of the scheme.

Arnold, originally from Alabama, was chosen by Detroit at the 24th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, he played in 16 games, defending 10 passes and recording 60 tackles. In the 2025 season, he managed to snag his first career interception against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 9 but played only eight games due to a season-ending shoulder injury.
