Maitland Ward Reflects on Rift with ‘Boy Meets World’ Co-Stars

2 weeks ago 0

Maitland Ward, known for her roles in popular TV shows, recently spoke about her ongoing estrangement with former ‘Boy Meets World’ co-stars Danielle Fishel, Ryder Strong, and Will Friedle. The former child star, who transitioned to an adult film career, expressed feelings of betrayal during an exclusive interview, highlighting an incident from the “Pod Meets World” podcast in 2025.

Ward revealed that she has not contacted her co-stars since the tense interaction. Despite the lack of communication, she harbors no ill will. “We have not spoken at all,” Ward mentioned. “There’s been no fighting; we are just not connected right now.” She stressed her desire for reconciliation, lamenting the current situation as sad.

“I still feel betrayed by the situation because I do think I was set up,” Ward said.

In February 2025, Ward’s appearance on the “Pod Meets World” podcast led to disagreements. Co-host Fishel questioned Ward about past conflicts, prompting Ward to express confusion and hurt over perceived animosity.

Fishel attributed some discomfort between them to past experiences on “Girl Meets World,” the spin-off of their original show. She described the set as challenging, reflecting feelings of being “ostracized” and “criticized.” Fishel apologized if Ward felt anything personal against her.

Despite the podcast’s heated moments, Ward emphasized she wasn’t seeking conflict. “Let’s be honest about this. You’re trying to go at me now to get the ratings,” she noted to Fishel.

Fishel countered Ward’s claim, suggesting Ward might seek publicity through conflict, something Fishel rejects.

Ward also addressed how she felt “bullied” during the podcast exchange. “I felt surrounded, and it’s weird because they were my friends in the past,” she explained, likening it to an old school situation where past grievances emerge.

Still, Ward aimed to offer support to Fishel, notably during her “Dancing with the Stars” participation. “It was a genuine moment,” Ward shared. “I love people stepping outside their comfort zone, especially women. I have nothing but love for her.”

Ward emphasized the unique bond formed through their shared TV past. “No matter what, we are always going to be connected,” she said. She advocates for supporting women, expressing hope that despite their differences, there’s an enduring connection akin to family.
