The New York Knicks commenced their quest for their first title since 1973 on Wednesday night. They faced Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in a thrilling match.

At halftime, the Spurs maintained a seven-point lead. The second half brought intense action, particularly during a closely fought fourth quarter. During this time, an enthusiastic fan disrupted the game briefly, aiming for a unique photo opportunity.

The fan, whose identity remains unknown, entered the court midway through the final quarter. He seemed to seek a selfie with Wembanyama. This incident occurred amid the dramatic moments of the game.

The game paused for about a minute before resuming with a jump ball. Security personnel escorted the fan off the court through a baseline tunnel.

Earlier in the game, Knicks guard Jalen Brunson faced injury challenges. Spurs forward Harrison Barnes accidentally collided with his right knee, causing Brunson to leave for the locker room. He returned in the second quarter with a heavily wrapped knee. Later, a Spurs player stepped on him while he contested a shot, affecting his left ankle. Despite these incidents, Brunson continued playing.

Brunson led his team with 30 points, propelling the Knicks to a 105-95 victory over the Spurs in Game 1. This win marked New York’s 12th consecutive playoff victory.
