Jake Paul’s latest fight against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua could mark the end of his boxing career. The YouTuber-turned-boxer took on Joshua in December, lasting until the sixth round as a significant underdog. However, during the match, he suffered a broken jaw, posing a serious threat to his future in the sport.
Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, remains hopeful about Paul’s return. He stated that Paul received encouraging news from specialists. “The plan is for him to be back sparring two months from now,” Bidarian told Fox News Digital. “They feel that’s the point to get back into sparring.” This decision will hinge on how Paul’s jaw holds up during sparring sessions.
Paul recently admitted to Ariel Helwani that retiring from boxing is a real possibility. “I think it just depends on how the bone heals,” he explained. “There’s also a missing tooth that may require an implant, which could affect the timeline. We need to determine the smartest course of action.”
Despite the challenges, Bidarian said Paul has no regets about challenging Joshua. “People ask me if I regret it, but I can’t,” the promoter noted. “He created another massive moment for the sport by facing one of the most dominant heavyweights of the last decade. He’s proud of that effort.”
Paul’s current record stands at 12-2, including a notable victory against Mike Tyson in November 2024. Fans can stay updated on his journey by following Fox News Digital’s sports coverage.
