After being seen in Florida recently, Tiger Woods has reportedly returned to Switzerland to continue his rehabilitation. According to Celebplanes, Woods’ private plane, a Gulfstream V, took off from Witham Field in Stuart, Florida, on a Saturday evening and arrived in Switzerland the following day.
Woods was observed disembarking his plane at Palm Beach International Airport on May 13. This led many to believe that his overseas treatment had concluded. However, this assumption might have been premature.
It’s unclear why Woods made this brief return to Florida, but the timing aligns with his girlfriend Vanessa Trump’s announcement. Vanessa, the former daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, recently shared she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She described Woods as her “strength” in a touching social media message, posting a photo of them together with the caption, “My strength through it all! Family and the closest people to me.” She shared this on Instagram Stories on Friday.
Woods publicly announced his relationship with Vanessa in March 2025. In March of the same year, Woods was involved in a car accident on Jupiter Island, Florida. He faced charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Although he cleared breathalyzer tests, his refusal to take a urine test led to a charge.
In response to this incident, Woods announced on social media that he would step away from golf. He aimed to “seek treatment and focus on my health”. A legal agreement in April allowed Woods to travel abroad for comprehensive inpatient treatment.
Woods has not competed since the 2024 Open Championship, with his last successful tournament being the Masters that year at Augusta National.
