The New York Knicks achieved a historic comeback in the NBA Finals, overturning a 29-point deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs. This victory marked the largest comeback in NBA Finals history. Spectators inside Madison Square Garden, including some famous personalities, were ecstatic as they witnessed the remarkable win.

Among the notable fans was Academy Award nominee Timothée Chalamet, who showed his enthusiasm by removing his jacket and shirt after the game, much to the attention of his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner. Chalamet was seen celebrating with fellow actor Ben Stiller, captured in a video shared by the NBA. Meanwhile, pop icon Taylor Swift joined the festivities, sporting a blue ‘Stevie Knicks’ shirt and participating in chants as she exited the arena.

Other celebrities present included movie director Spike Lee, tennis legend John McEnroe, actress Mariska Hargitay, and comedians Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David. Fans noted Larry David’s unusually emotional response during the game and its aftermath.

The Knicks’ victory resonated nationwide. In Irvine, California, the U.S. men’s national soccer team, preparing for their World Cup match against Paraguay, tuned in to watch the riveting game. A video shows the players, including Knicks enthusiast Tyler Adams, reacting in disbelief to OG Anunoby’s decisive one-handed tip-in with only 1.2 seconds remaining. Excited shouts ensued, and some players even leapt over couches in celebration.

Back in New York, jubilant fans flooded the streets, waving flags and chanting in celebration. Crowds gathered around a projection of the game on a building’s side in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, while others watched from a distance. Another video captured the exuberant reaction of fans in a city bar, cheering “Let’s go, New York” after the final play.

However, tensions arose when Knicks fans directed their frustration at Spurs players as they returned to their hotel, with several videos showing objects being thrown at Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs’ star player.

Looking ahead, the teams will meet for Game 5 on Saturday in Texas. Leading the series 3-1, the Knicks have a chance to secure their first NBA title in 53 years with one more win.
