Behavioral scientist and author Gad Saad recently shared a unique story about a secretive meeting with billionaire Elon Musk. Recounting on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, Saad described a mysterious journey that involved several security checkpoints, making him feel like a character in a spy movie.
Saad revealed receiving a brief text from Musk one night, containing an address in Austin, Texas. Following the address, he was picked up by a driver who took him through winding canyons before stopping and signaling ‘we’re here’. Confused by the location, Saad saw little more than darkness around him.
Upon being dropped off around 10 p.m., Saad noticed a black van. He cautiously approached it as the window lowered, and was asked for his name. After identifying himself, he was told to continue walking. A gate opened and a figure stepped out from the surrounding trees, guiding Saad to his final destination.
This story provided insight into Musk’s private security operations as Saad finally met him face-to-face. Reflecting on the event later, Saad humorously compared himself to James Bond when recounting the experience to his wife, who shared in the comparison.
“10 seconds later, I’m hugging it out with Elon,” Saad recounted.
Musk and Saad have interacted previously on X, where Musk often shares Saad’s thoughts on various topics, including suicidal empathy. According to Saad, suicidal empathy refers to an overwhelming compassion that erodes essential survival instincts in Western societies.
Saad further elaborated on his theories in the podcast discussion with Hannity. He argued that conservatives tend to report higher happiness levels compared to progressives, attributing this to differing perceptions of societal values. Conservatives, he suggested, find solace in the stability of foundational principles like freedom and liberty.
Conversely, Saad proposed, progressives often view society through a critical lens, focusing on various -phobias and inequities, which can lead to feelings of dissatisfaction and anxiety.
