Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, recently suggested considering legal action against Representative Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California. This consideration follows Khanna’s recent comments criticizing Musk, which he shared during a podcast appearance.
In the podcast episode, Khanna called for the Democratic Party to hold Musk accountable for alleged actions involving the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Khanna claimed that Musk’s changes resulted in significant U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) aid reductions, which purportedly endangered millions of children’s lives worldwide.
Musk responded through social media, dismissing Khanna’s assertions as fraudulent. He emphatically defended DOGE’s protocol, which required confirmation of funding use for legitimate purposes. Musk argued against any claims linking DOGE’s actions to alleged deaths, pointing to USAID corruption cases handled by the Justice Department.
Musk wrote, “All DOGE did was require contact with the aid recipients to confirm that funds were being used legitimately. Any accusation otherwise is insane!”
Musk further accused Khanna of stock trading improprieties, labeling him “Ro the Robber.” He reiterated that DOGE’s mission was to prevent aid money from falling into corrupt hands.
In contrast, Khanna defended his position in a video, stating his comments were based on academic research. He criticized Musk’s reaction, urging for public debate rather than legal intimidation. Khanna highlighted his history of confronting high-profile figures and refusing to be silenced in political discourse.
Fox News Digital attempted to contact representatives from Tesla and SpaceX for their comments on this unfolding situation. Lindsay Kornick, an associate editor for Fox News Digital, contributed to this report.
