NEW YORK – Adam Copeland and Christian Cage reclaimed tag team glory on Sunday after ending a 25-year championship drought. They faced Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler for the AEW Tag Team Championship at Double or Nothing.
The match was intense. It featured ladders, tools, and even a flaming table. Each wrestler showed resilience. Despite the brutality, none of them gave up quickly. Christian Cage suffered multiple injuries to his arm, while Wheeler nearly lost a part of his nose and faced barbed wire cuts.

Stokely Hathaway, supporting FTR, attempted to shift the match in FTR’s favor. Yet, Beth Copeland, formerly Beth Phoenix, surprised the audience by entering the fight, though she was neutralized soon after.
As the battle reached its climax, Harwood set up and ignited a table. Wheeler was set to drive Beth Copeland through it, but Hathaway was inadvertently positioned and ended up going through the flaming table.
FTR fought hard, hitting a Shatter Machine on Cage. However, Copeland and Cage retaliated against Harwood after the fiery incident. They used a series of submission moves, rendering Harwood helpless. Beth then provided a spiked bat to Adam, escalating the assault.
This pressure led Harwood to concede, uttering, “I quit.” This declaration awarded Copeland and Cage the championship titles.
Known for their legendary status in the wrestling world, Copeland and Cage had previously claimed seven WWE tag team titles. Yet, their journey in AEW hadn’t yielded any titles until this triumphant win.

Their last WWE tag championship was at WrestleMania X-7 in 2001 but was short-lived due to a subsequent loss to Kane and The Undertaker.
