New Jersey Protests Highlight Deepening Tensions

After a week of intense clashes at the Delany Hall Immigration, Customs, and Enforcement detention center in Newark, New Jersey’s Governor, Mikie Sherrill, took action by deploying state police to maintain order. The facility had become the site of contentious protests, with some demonstrators displaying aggressive behavior towards law enforcement.
