Spencer Pratt’s Political Bid Faces Celebrity Criticism

6 days ago 0

Spencer Pratt continues to face criticism amid his political campaign. Once recognized as a star of the reality show “The Hills,” Pratt is now making headlines with his mayoral run in Los Angeles. His campaign has drawn significant interest, including comments from “Hacks” star Hannah Einbinder.

Einbinder voiced her concerns at a recent event, criticizing those who disguise themselves as leftists but are primarily concerned about wealth. She pointed out Pratt’s endorsement by Donald Trump as a reason to resist his campaign. Einbinder openly expressed her lack of enthusiasm for the current mayoral race, though she supports candidate Nithya Raman.

“There’s a lot of wealth in this city and I think that there are a lot of people who masquerade as Democrats or people on the left, but really, money is their key issue and that’s what leads them to vote for people like Spencer Pratt,” she said.

Pratt did not hesitate to respond. He took to social media to address Einbinder’s remarks, highlighting the differences between her insulated world and the everyday challenges faced by Los Angeles residents. He emphasized the need for change, suggesting that others share his vision for the city’s future.

Spencer Pratt’s engagement with critics is not new. Actress Lisa Rinna previously questioned the suitability of a reality star as a mayoral candidate. Pratt defended himself by comparing his television past with the political history of his opponent, Karen Bass, pointing to her controversial activities in the 20s.

In a similar vein, Chelsea Handler criticized Pratt, highlighting his lack of government experience. Pratt turned the tables by sharing a video mocking Handler’s past associations.

In recent polling, Pratt trails behind Mayor Karen Bass and candidate Raman. Bass holds a 26% voter support, while Raman claims 25%, and Pratt follows with 22%. The race remains competitive as Pratt continues to address both his supporters and critics.
