The New York Knicks triumphed over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a stunning 130-93 victory, completing a decisive four-game sweep and advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999.
In Game 4, the Knicks took charge from the outset, swiftly establishing a substantial lead and effectively preventing the Cavaliers from mounting any comeback. Their sharpshooting fueled the win, as the team successfully sank 19 out of 43 attempts from beyond the arc. Additionally, the Knicks asserted their control over the boards, further solidifying their dominance on the court.

Clay Travis, founder of OutKick, aptly summarized the Cavaliers’ lackluster performance, stating, “The Cavs just totally quit this series after the fourth-quarter collapse in Game 1. Embarrassing effort since then. Congrats to the Knicks, party like it’s 1999.”
Cleveland entered the series with high expectations, widely regarded as one of the Eastern Conference’s most well-rounded teams. However, their journey ended in disappointment as the Knicks surged forward.
With over eight minutes remaining in Game 4, Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson withdrew the starters, conceding the match as the Knicks transformed the remaining time into a celebration.
Prior to the game, Atkinson commented on Cleveland’s analytical approach, suggesting the Cavaliers had “analytically” won two of the first three games. Yet, New York countered with sheer physical prowess.

Jalen Brunson of the Knicks exhibited impressive control over the game, leading the offense without committing any turnovers, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributed significantly with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Despite Donovan Mitchell’s notable 31-point performance, Cleveland struggled to break through the Knicks’ tenacious defense.
The win marked the Knicks’ sixth consecutive road playoff victory, serving as a remarkable achievement for the franchise following their coaching shift from Tom Thibodeau to Mike Brown.
Under Brown’s leadership, the Knicks have transformed into the league’s most formidable team, maintaining an undefeated streak that stretches into the finals. New York now prepares to face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or San Antonio Spurs, with the finals commencing on June 3. Their journey to claim the Larry O’Brien Trophy continues at Madison Square Garden.
