Lindsey Graham’s Legacy: A Staunch Supporter of the US-Israel Alliance

Mike Huckabee, former US Ambassador to Israel, commended Senator Lindsey Graham for his steadfast support of the US-Israel alliance. Huckabee emphasized that Graham believed in the alliance’s importance to all Americans. According to Huckabee, any threat to Israel, such as those from Iranian proxies, also endangers the United States. This partnership is grounded in shared Judeo-Christian values.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu plans to visit Washington, D.C., next week. He will meet with US President Donald Trump and attend memorial services for the late Senator Graham. Netanyahu’s office announced his departure from Israel on Monday, with meetings scheduled for Tuesday. Celebrations of Graham’s life will occur on Tuesday, July 28, in Washington, D.C., and on Wednesday, July 29, in South Carolina.

Netanyahu called Graham a “dear friend” and praised his understanding of the inseparable security relationship between Israel and the United States. Netanyahu stated, “Lindsey devoted his life to defending America, strengthening our alliance, and standing up for the free world.”

Netanyahu expressed his deep loss by saying, “Israel has lost one of its greatest friends. America has lost a great patriot. I have lost a beloved friend.”

The US and Israel have been active in military operations, launching Operation Epic Fury and Operation Roaring Lion against Iran on February 28. Over the past 13 days, US Central Command conducted airstrikes on Iranian military targets. Concurrently, the Israel Defense Forces have countered provocations from Hezbollah, an Iran-backed group in Lebanon.
