The much-anticipated trailer for the limited series “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” has finally been unveiled by FX. This series is a part of Ryan Murphy’s new “Love Story” anthology and is inspired by the celebrated romance of one of the 20th century’s most renowned couples.

The series features Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon in the roles of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, respectively. The storyline draws from “Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy” by Elizabeth Beller.

Accompanying the trailer’s release, the official synopsis paints a picture of the couple’s story: John F. Kennedy Jr. was often seen as a kind of American royalty, having grown up in the public eye from childhood to becoming a much-adored bachelor and media icon. His partner, Carolyn Bessette, was celebrated for her independence and unique sense of style. She rose through the ranks from a sales assistant to an executive at Calvin Klein, gaining the trust of its founder.

The series highlights the public nature of their romance, explaining how their relationship was cast upon a national stage and the unrelenting media attention threatened to separate them. Sarah Pidgeon portrays Carolyn, while Paul Kelly plays John in “Love Story: John F. Kennedy & Carolyn Bessette.” The cast also includes Grace Gummer as Caroline Kennedy, Naomi Watts as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and Alessandro Nivola as Calvin Klein.

The trailer provides a glimpse into key moments of Carolyn and John’s relationship, such as their first meeting and the early days of their romance. In one featured scene, Carolyn asks, “How old were you when you realized you were the son of a president?” to which John replies, “I don’t think anyone’s ever asked me that before.”

Set to premiere on February 12 on FX and Hulu, “Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette” will kick off with the first three episodes of its nine-episode run. Thereafter, viewers can expect one new episode every week following the initial broadcast. Notably, Disney owns FX Networks and Hulu.
