A 36-year-old man suffered stab wounds during a fight on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train in the Loop area on Wednesday night. The incident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. on a train traveling through the 500 block of South LaSalle Street.
According to Chicago police, the man was stabbed in the neck and left side with a sharp object during the altercation. The assailant fled the scene afterward. The injured man was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he is currently listed in fair condition.
Police detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident.
