Gabriela Moura, a prominent social media influencer, made her World Cup debut on Saturday. Her home country of Brazil played against Morocco. Moura, known for her nearly 12 million followers on TikTok, has gained significant attention.
The match took place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Brazil concluded the Group Stage game with a 1-1 draw. Expectations were higher for the team’s performance. However, the World Cup offers excitement beyond the field.
Besides her World Cup appearance, Moura attended the Variety Cover Party presented by TikTok on February 1, 2024, in Los Angeles. She gained widespread attention after going viral at the Kentucky Derby. At the time, she faced criticism for her attire deemed inappropriate by some.
Following the derby incident, Moura appeared on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway. She also participated in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit photo shoot and appeared on the SI runway during Miami Swim Week.
This exposure has earned her the label of ‘Brazil’s sexiest fan’ by some. Though it’s debatable given Brazil’s many attractive supporters, Moura remains a key figure to watch if Brazil progresses in the tournament.
Moura left Brazil at 17 to build a fashion career in the U.S. If her past social media attention led to runway and magazine opportunities, World Cup visibility might open new avenues.
