Professional wrestler Tessa Blanchard has officially parted ways with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). Her release from the company was confirmed on Tuesday. Blanchard plans to discuss her decision soon on Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre’s (CMLL) YouTube channel, where she currently performs.
Blanchard has made a name for herself in the wrestling world. She participated in the U.S. vs. Canada Border Brawl in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on May 25, 2025. Her departure from TNA was first reported by Fightful Select.
In the wrestling community, Blanchard is highly regarded. She ranked No. 92 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list last year, reaching as high as No. 5 in 2019. Her career highlights include being a former WOW world champion and a key figure in the wrestling industry. She was present at a news conference in Las Vegas in 2021, which announced a distribution agreement related to her career.
Blanchard’s journey in TNA spanned from 2018 to 2020 before she returned in 2024. She also gained experience with Women of Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. Tessa Blanchard is a third-generation wrestler, daughter of Tully Blanchard, and granddaughter of promoter Joe Blanchard. She is also the stepdaughter of Magnum T.A.
Blanchard made history by becoming the first woman to win the TNA World Championship, and she also held the TNA Knockouts Championship. Most recently, Blanchard was involved in matches alongside Victoria Crawford and Myla Moore. She won her last singles match against Harley Hudson and another match against Jody Threat in a Bunkhouse Brawl.
