The City Hall ceremony will take place after Thursday’s parade in Lower Manhattan. New York City is holding a public lottery for 600 tickets to the event, which closes at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Scheduled for noon on Thursday at City Hall Plaza, the ceremony will follow a ticker-tape parade honoring the Knicks in the Canyon of Heroes. Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced that 300 winners will be selected from the lottery, each receiving two tickets. Notifications will be sent after the lottery closes.
The ceremony will feature speeches and musical performances. Mayor Mamdani will present the Knicks players with keys to the city, recognizing their accomplishments.
“The Knicks have united New Yorkers across all boroughs,” Mayor Mamdani stated in a news release. “Offering free tickets ensures that everyone has the opportunity to participate.”
