Controversy and Allegations in Tyler Robinson Death Penalty Case

2 hours ago 0

Criminal defense attorney Josh Ritter appeared on ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ to discuss allegations of prosecutor misconduct in the Tyler Robinson case. The defense claims that media comments made by prosecutors are misconduct. Ritter also commented on the reactions faced by the Metcalf family following the verdict in the Karmelo Anthony case.

Recently revealed court documents indicate that Lance Twiggs, who shared a residence and relationship with Tyler Robinson, received limited immunity. This immunity pertains to a recorded statement Twiggs provided to authorities in April.

According to the prosecutors’ filing, dated Tuesday, Twiggs was granted “use-immunity” for his April 20 statement. Authorities seek to utilize both this recorded statement and Twiggs’ communications with Robinson near the time of Charlie Kirk’s death during the preliminary hearing scheduled for July.

Tyler Robinson appeared before the 4th District Court in Provo on February 3, 2026, in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk. During this session, it was noted that, in preparation for the preliminary hearing, Twiggs had testified under oath. He received a warning that any false statements could result in legal penalties. The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the Utah County Attorney’s Office provided the use-immunity, ensuring Twiggs’ April 20 statements would not be used against him.

This case remains active, with new developments expected as it progresses. The coverage of this case is updated by reporters like Fox News Digital’s Adam Sabes. For further information or to forward tips, contact Adam Sabes via email or Twitter.
