Chicago police reported that three teenagers were shot on Saturday night in the North Lawndale area. Officers responded to a large gathering in the 1400 block of S. Christiana Ave. around 11:30 p.m. when they heard multiple gunshots.
A group of people fled the scene. A 19-year-old man approached the officers and said he was shot in the groin and forearm. The officers applied a tourniquet, and he was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious condition.
Additionally, a 19-year-old woman went to Mt. Sinai Hospital on her own, suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. She is in good condition. An 18-year-old woman was later found with a similar wound and is also in good condition after being transported to Mt. Sinai.
Police stated that detectives from Area Four are investigating the incident.
