5 hours ago 0

Fans noticed something different about Caitlin Clark during the Indiana Fever’s recent game. In the second half of the victory over the Atlanta Dream, Clark’s performance seemed altered. She revealed to reporters that she became ill at halftime, detailing a significant bout of nausea.

“I haven’t puked that much in a really long time,” Clark shared via ESPN. “But then I felt fine. I felt light. I was running around feeling good in the second half.”

Despite this, Clark remained focused, contributing significantly to her team’s 83-71 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. She completed the game with 17 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. Additionally, she made WNBA history by becoming the fastest player to reach 150 points and 50 assists in a season, a feat she first accomplished in the previous season.

The Fever’s win was much needed, snapping a two-game losing streak and improving their record to 5-4. This victory followed heightened attention on the team after a viral video showed a heated sideline exchange between Clark and head coach Stephanie White.

Reflecting on the week’s events, Clark emphasized personal growth and improvement, expressing that everyone on the team took time for self-reflection. “A lot of people have called and asked how I am, and I said, ‘What do you mean? I’m great,” Clark stated. “I think a lot of self-reflection from everybody, like looking yourself in the mirror and finding ways to get better.”

Next up, Clark and the Fever aim to continue their momentum as they face the New York Liberty on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
