The new documentary, The Music of My Soul, celebrating the life and music of Gregg Allman, has premiered in New York City. Known for his profound impact on the music industry, Allman receives an in-depth look through this film.

The documentary features a variety of Allman’s well-known tracks, complemented by a special song contribution from country singer Jackson Dean. Dean’s track, My Cross to Bear, concludes the film, paying homage to Allman and his work with the Allman Brothers Band. Classic hits such as Midnight Rider, Whipping Post, and I’m No Angel are also featured.

Screening Schedule

The film’s New York premiere took place on Tuesday, June 9. It will have a hometown opening in Macon, Georgia, on Thursday, June 11.
