Las Vegas Aces Forward NaLyssa Smith Responds to Cheating Allegations from Ex-Girlfriend

Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith addressed allegations made by her ex-girlfriend, DiJonai Carrington, during a Twitch livestream. Carrington accused Smith of a multi-player cheating scandal, claiming Smith was involved with Aces teammate Deja Kelly, Atlanta Dream guard Aaliyah Nye, and others.

Smith chose not to confirm or deny the allegations, questioning the timing of Carrington’s decision to discuss their personal history a year after their breakup. “Whether she cheated on me and I cheated on her, why are we bringing that to the internet a year later when nobody did anything to anybody?” Smith said. She criticized Carrington for involving Kelly and Nye, who woke up to these claims unexpectedly.

The incident followed an in-person confrontation where Carrington allegedly started an argument that security had to break up. Smith recounted the scenario, stating Carrington accused her of communicating with people during the confrontation. Smith claimed, “I’m like ‘Why I gotta be a b*tch?’ That’s how the whole thing started.” She emphasized she felt like the victim in the situation.

Smith denied online accusations that she attended the event uninvited to monitor Carrington. “I didn’t do ‘none.’ I’m sitting on the couch posting, minding my business,” she stated, refuting claims of spying on her ex-girlfriend.

Alcohol might have played a role in Carrington’s behavior, according to Smith. “I guess the liquor, the cameras, her crowd… But at the end of the day, that was some bulls–t,” Smith remarked. Fans will see the former Baylor teammates, Carrington and Smith, face off on the court on August 1, when Chicago Sky host Las Vegas Aces.
