A tragic incident involving the son of billionaire fashion mogul Isak Andic is under investigation. Jonathan Andic, son of the founder of the clothing giant Mango, made a distressing 911 call after his father fell from a cliff.
Jonathan’s father, Isak Andic, 71, was hiking near Barcelona when the accident occurred. Jonathan was the sole witness to his father’s deadly fall of approximately 500 feet.
Initially deemed accidental, the fall is now under scrutiny as a possible homicide. Jonathan Andic was arrested after authorities announced their investigation into his father’s death.
“I need help, my father has fallen!” he can be heard saying in audio from the call.
Jonathan, arrested five months after the incident, was released on bail but must remain in Spain during the investigation. The call made by Jonathan is a crucial piece of evidence for his defense.
The family asserts Jonathan’s innocence, emphasizing the absence of legitimate evidence against him. Isak Andic was a highly successful businessman, establishing Mango in 1984 and growing it into a major global retailer.
Born in Istanbul, Isak moved to Catalonia in the 1960s. His impact on the fashion industry marked him as one of Spain’s wealthiest businessmen. He served as the non-executive chairman of Mango at his death, boasting a net worth of $4.5 billion.
Jonathan Andic is Mango’s vice chairman and managed the empire with his siblings after his father’s passing.
