Taylor Swift’s Involvement in ‘Toy Story 5’ Creates Buzz

During the event, she requested Tom Hanks, a star of the film, to autograph her VHS tape. Hanks gladly obliged. In an interview with USA Today, he humorously remarked, “I told her she should have brought in the VHS machine so that we could have signed it, ’cause that could go into the Smithsonian Institute as well.”

In another interview with Variety, Hanks revealed that he was unaware of Swift’s song in the film until late in the production process. He recounted, “They ushered us into a soundproof room and said, ‘Tonight, at 9 p.m., the true end titles song is going to drop and it’s by Taylor Swift.'” Hanks added that the revelation took even the cast by surprise.

Hanks made a notable comparison, saying it’s “like saying, ‘By the way, Judy Garland is singing “Over the Rainbow” at the beginning of this.'”
