Last week, Tom Holland shared the truth about his relationship with “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” co-star Zendaya. He hinted at their wedding, sparking interest among fans. Now, Zendaya has playfully revealed a habit of Holland’s that bothers her.
During a recent interview on their “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” press tour, which is set for release on July 31, the couple discussed shared interests. Holland mentioned their mutual enjoyment of games, especially the “Spider-Man” video game. “The games are absolutely sensational,” he said.
Holland has honed his skills in Insomniac’s “Spider-Man” game, but Zendaya admitted she finds it challenging. “I’m not very good at playing video games,” she revealed.
One habit Holland has that frustrates Zendaya is his offer to help her play. When suggested she could play in Story Mode, Zendaya said, “I get really frustrated because I want to play it all by myself.” She insisted, “I need to do this on my own. You can’t help me.” Despite voicing this, she admitted she let Holland assist during a particularly tough level.
Their playful exchange highlighted their chemistry, sparking a flurry of comments on social media. One fan joked, “I mean he knows better because he’s Spider-Man.” Another remarked, “Tom Holland is a backseat gamer confirmed.”
Another pointed out, “Zendaya refusing Tom Holland’s help while playing Spider-Man is the most Peter and MJ thing ever.” Holland’s dual role as Spider-Man in real life and in the game didn’t go unnoticed, with some fans noting his knowledge might come from secret superhero techniques.
Even game maker Insomniac Games chimed in, inviting Zendaya to visit their studio in Burbank. They offered support for her gaming endeavors, showing the couple’s dynamic extends beyond their personal relationship to include their interactions with fans and industry professionals as well.
