Vice President JD Vance reflected on his experience as a guest on ABC’s talk show, The View, where he appeared to promote his new memoir titled Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith. Initially anticipating a contentious interview, Vance found the interaction to be less aggressive than expected.
During his appearance, the show’s hosts, known for their previous criticism of former President Donald Trump, engaged Vance on various topics including affordability, the Epstein Files, immigration, and race. Despite his expectations, he described the hosts as less vicious than he had assumed they would be.
Later that day, Vance discussed his experience on Fox’s Gutfeld!. He stated, “I expected them to be absolutely vicious, and they were only a little bit vicious. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.” Vance shared a surprising moment during a break when co-host Joy Behar told him, “You’re, like, pretty good for a Republican.” He considered it a more favorable remark than he anticipated from Behar.
