Puka Nacua’s Amusing Attempt to Woo Sydney Sweeney

Recent rumors indicate that Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua and actress Sydney Sweeney won’t be forming a romantic partnership anytime soon. Despite speculation surrounding Sweeney’s relationship with music manager Scooter Braun, Nacua took a chance at getting her attention.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Sweeney outlined her ideal partner as being “athletic, outgoing, and funny,” also mentioning her adventurous side by expressing a desire for someone who would “go skydiving” with her.

Nacua, undeniably athletic, playfully responded to Sweeney’s skydiving preference by tweeting his enthusiasm for the activity. However, when he was asked about his chances with Sweeney, he revealed a humorous reality.

“I have an actual fear of heights, so it’ll be interesting,” Nacua admitted with a chuckle.

During further questioning about who last contacted him through direct messages, he mentioned the NFL had been in touch recently, but it was not particularly good news for him.

“The NFL is the last verified DM I had because they told me I didn’t get tickets to the Warriors game, and I was pretty sad,” he said.

Nacua previously had been in a long-term relationship with Hallie Aiono, which ended publicly. The breakup was followed by Aiono’s pregnancy and subsequent paternity testing, confirming Nacua as the father of her son, Kingston. Legal action followed in June to establish parental relations.

On another note, Sweeney ended her engagement with ex-fiancé Jonathan Davino in March 2025, and she has been frequently seen with Braun since then.
