Bill Gates Reflects on His Interactions with Jeffrey Epstein

4 months ago 0

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft, has opened up about his association with Jeffrey Epstein during an interview with Australia’s 9News. Gates acknowledged that his meetings with Epstein, a convicted sex offender, were misguided. He stated, “I met Jeffrey in 2011,” responding to Nine Political Editor Charles Croucher’s inquiries about their relationship. “Over a period of three years, I had several dinners with him. The focus was always on the fact that he knew a lot of very wealthy people, and he suggested they could contribute to global health causes. In hindsight, it was a dead end.”

Gates expressed his regret, saying, “I’ve said many times, and I’ll say again: I was foolish to spend time with him. I’m one of many people who regret ever knowing him.”

The publication of over 3 million documents by the Department of Justice (DOJ) shed light on Epstein’s activities, including his correspondence. Some emails insinuated that Gates had affairs and sought medication for a sexually transmitted infection, intending to give it to his former wife, Melinda French Gates, without her knowledge. A spokesperson for Gates refuted these allegations, calling them “absolutely absurd and completely false.” They emphasized that the documents demonstrated Epstein’s frustration over not maintaining a relationship with Gates, resorting to defamation.

“These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false. The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates,” a Gates spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

In a separate interview, Melinda French Gates discussed the allegations. “As a society, I think we’re having a reckoning,” she mentioned during NPR’s “Wild Card” podcast. “No girl should ever be placed in situations like those created by Epstein and those surrounding him. It’s beyond heartbreaking.”

Reflecting on the matter from a personal standpoint, she added, “Whenever those details surface, it brings back painful memories of certain times in my marriage.” Despite the emotional toll, she emphasized her personal decision to move forward. “I’ve moved on from that. I’m in a surprisingly wonderful place in my life now.”

Charles Croucher probed further during the interview, questioning the validity of Hubbard’s remarks. Gates clarified his stance on the emails, stating, “No, apparently Jeffrey wrote an email to himself that was never sent; it’s false. Perhaps he had motives to attack me, but it’s a constant reminder of my regret for those interactions.”

Gates addressed why Epstein might have made such statements about him, asserting that it was palpable his visits never involved anything beyond dinners. “I never visited the island or met any women there. With more facts emerging, it will be evident that while spending time with Epstein was an error, it had no connection to such behavior.”
