In Roseland, Chicago, a CTA passenger sustained injuries from flying glass shards after a train window was hit by a bullet on Sunday morning, according to local police. The incident involved a 46-year-old man who was riding on the CTA Red Line near 95th St. around 8:49 a.m.
Police reported that individuals in three vehicles on the Dan Ryan Expressway began discharging firearms. One bullet broke the window of the train, causing glass to injure the man’s face and body. Medical personnel transported him to Trinity Hospital, where he is reported to be in good condition.
The vehicles responsible for the shooting fled the location, according to authorities. Area 2 detectives are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
