Challenges in Jack Schlossberg’s Congressional Campaign

1 hour ago 0

Jack Schlossberg, grandson of John F. Kennedy, faces difficulties in a high-profile House primary race.

Recent polls show Schlossberg in third place in the Democratic primary for the 12th Congressional District. At a campaign event in Manhattan, he attracted a diverse crowd of high school students and retirees. His campaign included ads featuring prominent figures like Nancy Pelosi and Caroline Kennedy.

The primary race aims to replace Representative Jerrold Nadler. Schlossberg competes in an affluent district with rivals like Micah Lasher, Nadler’s successor, Alex Bores from the AI industry, George Conway, a vocal opponent of Trump, and vaccine expert Nina Schwalbe.

Schlossberg’s campaign faced challenges due to staff turnover and a drop in polls. He aims to shift the narrative by portraying his candidacy as a battle against dark money. He invested $1 million to counter the influence of wealthy opponents.

The primary battle emphasizes the clash between old and new political approaches. Despite setbacks, Schlossberg continues his campaign efforts in hopes of gaining ground.
