Google Revamps Search with AI Innovations

Google announced a major update to its search bar dimensions using a new artificial intelligence model. This marks the first significant change to the design of the search box since 2001. Google’s iconic search feature, which traditionally allowed straightforward keyword searches, now supports longer and more complex queries.

Recent advances in AI technology enabled users to ask detailed questions like “Who are the top 24 teams in the World Cup and what chance does the United States have of advancing?” Google’s new approach aims to make the search box bigger and more interactive. Users can now ask extended questions and upload photographs and videos into their search queries.

The tech giant is also introducing a chatbot feature on its main search page. This allows users to ask follow-up questions in real-time. Moreover, digital assistants, termed as agents, are being launched to automate certain tasks. For instance, someone searching for apartments might receive notifications about new listings without needing to open real estate websites like Zillow.

These new search capabilities are backed by a cutting-edge AI model named Gemini 3.5 Flash. This model enhances software code creation, performs autonomous tasks efficiently, and offers a more cost-effective solution than previous models.

Sundar Pichai, Google’s chief executive, highlighted the benefits of Gemini’s speed and affordability, emphasizing how these advancements allow wide accessibility. Ultimately, this shift is poised to deliver substantial advantages to Google and its users.
