The new owner of a foreclosed property in Burlington, Connecticut, uncovered a disturbing scene upon entering his purchase. Skeletal remains of three individuals were found inside the house, according to state authorities.
On June 14, state police received a report from the homeowner about the discovery of suspicious remains in the residence. They stated that there is no evidence suggesting criminal activity involved and believe the deaths are isolated incidents.
Edward Marchion became the property’s owner after successfully bidding at an auction on June 6. The Cape Cod-style home, constructed in 2002, was bought for $525,000. The previous owners, Paul and Sally Anne Cash, had secured a loan of nearly $400,000 before the home faced foreclosure.
Marchion initially placed an $82,000 deposit on the house, which has a fair market value of $820,000. Despite efforts to reach him for comments, Marchion was unavailable.
The investigation continues as authorities work to identify the remains and determine their causes of death.
