A person was fatally struck Wednesday morning while trying to change a tire on I-80/I-94, according to Illinois State Police. The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. in southwest suburban Lansing.
Police received a call reporting a pedestrian had been hit on westbound I-80 near Torrence Avenue. Initial reports suggest the victim was struck while attempting to change a tire on their vehicle.
